Nerdy, right?
I’m assuming the Socially Awkward Penguin isn’t new, but I only discovered it about a month ago.
There’s a SAP Tumblr, and it’s updated several times a day. I LOL hard at it!
I noticed that the images are generated from memegenerator.net, so I’ve been trying to think of a good one for the past day or so.
Today, I checked out the Starry Sky post on the Flickr Blog. All the images are amazing! I clicked on the one at the top because I wanted to see the EXIF data and learn what shutter speed was used to take the shot.
Alas, the EXIF data was stripped and I let out a big FUUUUUUUUUUU!
Awkward.

The internet makes me A.D.D.

This is my life for the first two-ish hours I’m awake… EVERY DAY!!

heyitsrachel:

delacroix:

Writing an e-mail (to Rhonda!) reminds me to check my Facebook. Facebook means replying to people, which reminds me to check Twitter. Twitter means seeing tweets from Tumblr people, which reminds me to check the Tumblrs I follow via Google Reader. Their posts make me click-through to like, so I end up on my dashboard. There are photos on my dashboard, so I favorite things on Flickr. An hour and a half later, I’m thirty pages back on my dash, twenty pages into someone’s Flickr photostream, and I have sixteen tabs open in Firefox. The first tab, my Gmail tab, is still waiting for me to finish the e-mail.

Ugh, I’m retarded.

I have to be: nothing

This is an awesome video/post:

I just want to say… thank you to everyone who thinks I am worth one damn second of their time, just as me, and nothing else. Thank you to my family, who continually show me the meaning of unconditional love; thank you to my friends, who never fail to support me and somehow manage to put up with my inner dork/geekdom, and finally, thank you to all of those artists and people around the world who, while I may have never seen you face to face, have provided me inspiration, guidance, and encouragement from the very beginning.

The pressures of this world can be overbearing, but somehow, you all make it seem so damn worth it. No matter how small the moments we’ve shared may have been, you’ve made me a better person. So this is my way of giving the big old bird to all of those pressures and instead, being, well… being me: make-up less, hair-styled less, sexified-less and…… I could care less!

Music is from a Third Eye Blind 1999 demo entitled ‘All Right Caroline’ (My favorite band, ever. Check out their new album, Ursa Major, available on iTunes).

Hope
Alrighty, check out how I discovered this photo: I was watching episode 227 of Diggnation and towards the end Prager mentioned his Flickr URL. I went to the URL to see a photo he was referring to.
I looked at a few more of his photos and noticed one of a Red One camera. In the comments of this photo I saw the user maubrowncow left a comment. The username looked familiar, so I clicked it.
I looked at some of his photos and didn’t recognise them or the user, so I decided to see what Kevin Rose’s Flickr profile was like. One of Kevin’s most recent faved photos was this magnificent lightning photograph by Frank Fennema. I viewed some more of Frank’s photos and had a look at the EXIF data on them. I noticed he shot the lightning photographs with a Nikon D300, so I decided to see what that camera looked like.
In the ‘Interesting photos’ below the stats about the camera I saw this very photograph you see above by the user known as lilpuddlejumpers.
I love stories!
