Election BS

Today Dad, Jackie, and I went to vote in the federal election. I’m not a fan of politics, but I understand that some people have to run the country, and spend our tax money in a giddy way.

The campaigns in the leadup to the election were very childish; all they did was say how much the other parties suck.
Have a cry.
Talk to ME; not the camera.

I voted for The Greens and Labor. Don’t judge me; I don’t give a crap who you voted for. I looked at their websites last night to see what they were going to do about Australia and both of them seemed pretty good.
The only thing that caught my interest in John Howards’ promises was ‘cracking down on hoons’. Hoons are losers.

Also, a good looking website is everything. Good navigation and being able to find what I’m looking for is key. I didn’t watch any of their YouTube videos; I just read snippets on their sites.

When I got home from work this evening I had some conversations with some friends in my age group:

I’m proud to be Australian, but I don’t see the need to be all caught up in the election. If you want to, that’s you’re business.  I’m also proud to say that I only watched 5 minutes of the ‘Vote For 7’ (Channel Nine is lame) show whilst cooking dinner, and then I watched “Garden State” — excellent flick! — and did a drawing.

  • Kevin, you better give me some fecking good internet in the next six months. Otherwise, there’ll be war. (No, not lame war with guns, Osamas, bombs, and Bushs. A war in the tubes.) Thanks.
