Derek is an Australian videographer, photographer, podcaster, and gardener. That's all that will fit in this box though. Really, he can do anything. Srsly.

TAXES

I wish DieLaughing had comments enabled on his tumbla, so I could comment all over this post like a commenting badass.

Regardless, I’m going to comment in a reblog (like all the cool kids seem to be doing.)

See my comment under DieLaughing’s post.

dielaughing:

So I go to H&R Block to do my taxes (and my girlfriend’s), and right after getting started it tells me “Sorry, nightly maintenance. Come back later.”

WHAT?!!!

ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME?!!!

Soon there is going to be a worldwide reckoning where large masses of people suddenly discover the other people that are just entirely incompetent and need to be quietly put down like an animal with such severe head trauma that they can’t survive in the wild.

I picture this mainly as the youth rising up to kill everyone over a certain age. It is an eventuality, so I’d like it to happen sooner than later, for obvious reasons.

I don’t respect my elders. I blame them for the shitty-ass state of the world.

And now it’s my responsibility, eh? Well, I promise to do everything I can to shout out every fucking retarded thing that adults accept as unchanging reality. I will point and shout until the brave youngsters kill us all for our selfish insanity.

Really H&R Block? You can’t hire someone who knows how to do a backup without shutting the whole fucking site down? Wow. Fire your HR department first, assholes, then kill yourselves before your own children bludgeon you in your sleep.

Holy moly! I completely agree!

I’m determined to fix the world before I even think about passing the baton to my spawn. Whether through The Zeitgeist Movement or my own means; it is going to happen an the world ‘peace’ will no longer be some fable we wish for.

We will achieve a universal giddyness. That is my goal.

GO!

Today. Everyone is all about Australia day (tomorrow) and there are two questions everyone is asking.

“What does Australia Day mean to you”

and

“What does it mean to be Australian”

Well ummm! When I think Of Australia Day I think of thong throwing contest at the Beach. But I also think of Burning Laminations in a Scottish Schools kitchen and almost having to evacuate 1000s of screaming girls. Funnily enough the only Australia Day I really celebrated being “Australian” was when I was living in Scotland.

Seeing as I have never been anything but “Australian” I cant really answer the other without using the usual Cliche.

There are some images though that to me express “Being Australian”. So what does it mean to be an Australian to you?

Sorry, this content is only available in USA.

haydenonline:

Hello.

This post is a reply to @djsteen’s posts (1 & 2) about content availablility and viewing time in certain geographic locations in the world. These posts are on his blog.

So I will give you the lowdown if you aren’t aware. I recommend you check Derek’s posts (1 & 2) so you can get the FULL story. Basically.

Australia (and I assume other countries), have always been restricted in some way with content created by large companies, like televison networks and movie production companies in the USA and UK. Why? Because we live geographically in the wrong place, why is that? Because of the MONEY. Also, we get delayed broadcasts and public viewings, and content avail on DVD.

I cannot comment on the money, so I will just leave it there.

Please make sure you have read Derek’s posts (1 & 2) now, because I have finished my very short explanation, I am now going to gripe.

SO. LISTEN HERE BUCKAROO.

I WAS BORN AND I LIVE IN THE WRONG GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION. AND I CANNOT CHANGE THAT (yet). I WANT MY CONTENT, AND I WANT IT NOW.

I DON’T WANT TO VIEW A MOVIE 3-6 MONTHS AFTER IT WAS SHOWN IN USA.

I DON’T WANT TO KEEP SEEING RERUNS UNTIL THE NETWORKS GET NEW SHOWS FROM THE USA.

I WANT THE TECHNOLOGY NOW. If you don’t realize, in accordance to time zones, Australia is actually in the future. So like, we should get it all before you.

Yes, I understand using capitals is only okay every now and then, but I usually use it when I am yelling, as I have in this post.

I have said all I wanted to say. Clear and simple, Corporate world, wake up and fix this sh*t.

Hayden.
